This is another great amazon bargain: extremely high quality merchandise for 1950s prices! It's also a very unique design that is not available in most art supply stores or warehouses. It's a very warm, reddish walnut finish, with high quality varnishes and fits gracefully and snugly in a corner of my generous but 1-room apartment. It's the perfect solution for engraving and precision drawing projects as I can easily adjust the top with the handles below. It was a little complicated to assemble, but not that much. Just lay out each piece and all the hardware in a grid on the floor and read each step, and it will be done in a few hours. A wonderful low-budget solution for creative people.

I received this as a gift and am very happy with it. The assembly took about an hour -and we took our time. The instructions are clear, all parts easy to identify. The construction quality is very good -the table is very stable.

My business needed a work table for an iconographer. We looked at many used drafting tables, new drafting tables, and assorted desks. We settled on this model. It is cute, sturdy, and well constructed.

This is shipped in a flat pack. Construction took two of us 20 minutes to build. We have been using it for over two months. The artist is quite satisfied. We will buy a new one if we expand.

This is a nice sturdy work table. There are no instructions per se, but the illustrations are clear enough. It took me an hour to assemble. Of course, you'll want to use a power drill because using the allen wrench by hand would take forever. Also, the power drill helps things get a bit tighter which helps to overcome a flaw in this product.

While the instructions did not recommend, nor did the kit include, glue. I used Gorilla Glue on all wood to wood joints, dowels, & etc.

The wood is substantial, not at all like your typical kit. And the hardware is a bit over the top. But even then, the structure wobbled once assembled.

I'm hoping the glue will tighten things up.

Another gripe is that there are knobs to adjust the angle of the table, but not the height. If you want to raise or lower the table, you need an allen wrench. Hopefully, you'll find the right height and not need to adjust it, but still ...

You always hear, "You get what you pay for." Well, this is BETTER than what I expected when I paid for it. My husband is a heavy man, and quite tall: 275lbs and 6'5". This was a starter table for him since he wanted to draw out plans for our home. Not only does it hold his weight, but it 'fits'. IF you are tall, or have a tall spouse/family member, then you know how important that comment is. IF you don't, then understand finding something that fits my husbands long legs and knee height is difficult at best. This works well for that, and the added little bits like the clip to hold it in place was wonderful! We also purchased the clip on lamp and I think I have used that even more than he has, just for that lamp. Well worth the money.
