Looks like a real good buy, so I order it and wait for it's delivery. It finally gets here and I open up the box to findthat they put the wrong airbrush in the box. It's supposed to be the Iwata HP-C Plus, but there's an Iwata Eclipse HP-BCS
instead. Don't get me wrong, it's a very nice airbrush but I need a decent gravity feed right now. Ah, I have to send back
the whole box and reorder it. I am so disappointed. Also, I have seen the reviews of the Master airbrush compressors and
decide to take a chance that it won't overheat after 10 minutes, but the rest of the kit was great. I'm going to re-rate
the kit when I get the next one home and do a good long art project with it. I gave this a 3 star just because the kit
made it here, had all the parts except for the airbrush, and was intact.
Update 10/26/13: I received my reimbursement and came straight to Amazon to purchase this kit and found that the price
went from $311.00 to $390.00! So I decided to look elsewhere. That's just too far to jump all at once. Hence I changed
my star rating to reflect my misfortune.
Last update 11/8/13: The airbrush kit went back on sale again for the original $311.97!!! I decided to buy it again knowing
that the chance of it getting here with the wrong airbrush was nil. And it had the right airbrush. I am extremely happy
with the kit, it has everything in it. The airbrush is nice, I also bought the "Triple Action Handle" and the Iwata quick
disconnect, even though it came with a Master brand one. I'm used to Badger and never used an Iwata before and I'm not
surprised by it's performance. It is everything I expected: Very well made, high quality chrome, fits well in the hand,
very fluid, smooth movement, cleans easily (with the right cleaner), and the most important, Sprays from an extremely fine
point to just over 1/2 inch diameter circle. Now this is not for covering, it is for very fine work. I still need my old
stuff because I need to cover (or fill in large areas) before I can get fussy with the fine detail, so when I get a chance,
I'll get another Iwata.
The rest of the kit is nice too. It has a nice selection of 2oz. bottles of transparent, opaque, and some pearlized paint,
and the compressor is quite nice, it does get hot after a short while, but it keeps going, I just let it cool off once in
a while (but I will set up a fan for it when I get a chance). This beats going out to my garage or running an airline from
my garage for the air source, and it is very quiet too.
Oh yeah, I decided that the rating for the kit definitely deserves the 5 stars. Amazon, and TCP Global both are very good
companies to deal with, so far I have had a few incidents where I needed to return items to one or the other and everything
always went well.
I do recommend this to anyone that needs an accurate detailing airbrush or needs one for very small models, but if you need
and airbrush for doing large area cover, like RC Planes and the such, this is not for you.
