Buyer beware. The needles are not as big as the package makes them look they are a little over 1 inch long, skinny, and sharp as can be. The eye of the needles are skinny as well, a common string or sowing thread could fit through but surely no real waxed linen thread for real solid book binding. I questioned the seller and they assured me I received the right product, so... if you want buy these sharp needles. They also bend easily with my skinny girl fingers so I must add they really aren't heavy duty either.

Needle openings too small for the hand waxed thread. There is another type on their own website; they should be showing that rather than this needle set.

The needles in the actual package were fine beading needles not book binding needles at all.ihave not been able to start work on my bookbinding project .very frustrating! I'm sure this is nothing to do with the quality of the needles ,just a packaging error.

I'm really unhappy with this product. I bought needles and thread from this company. The thread is too thick to go through this needle and ended up breaking a couple needles as I tried to thread them. I'd think they would make some bigger holes, or provide a threader with either product. Not only did I break mine and have to buy more, but I broke those too. I ended up using wire and my teeth. How are you making products that go together, but that don't work together?

These are glorified sewing needles, but once you actually get bookbinding needles, you realize that these are just heavy sewing needles. You need them dull to go through premade holes, not sharp to make more holes in text blocks and these are sharp.
