The issue, of course, is that I DID have one of these break on me. The other needle hasn't broken nor has the replacement. So it is possible I was just unlucky. But do be aware that there has been some issues with breakage the wood narrows a LOT where it joins the metal and that clearly creates a potential weakness.
I have also had a little bit of an issue with one of the two needles I was using occasionally starting to unscrew. You feel it in the yarn before it comes fully undone, but it was still a bit frustrating. This happened even after tightening with their tool.
With all that, you might question my 4 star rating. But the fact is, the cubics really, really, really work great aside from those issues. They are light and warm to the touch with the perfect amount of stickiness and slide for me. The points are sharp enough without the harsh feel of metal in your fingertips (this is based on how I knit). The square shape gives you a little nicer grip with less force, something that folks with arthritis or carpal tunnel should appreciate.

Most of the time My motto is I will try anything once;concering food. NOW that also concerns my favorite sport KNITTING.It takes sometime to get use to the but now they feel great and are a breeze to knit with.
