My daughter is 7 1/2 years old and has just started getting into drawing, sketching etc. She wants to be a fashion designer when she gets older. I used to draw with pencil and enjoyed it and got this for my daughter.

It comes in a nice little wooden case and she did like the wood mannequin that came with it.

This would probably be geared to girls around the ages of 7-10 or 11 or so.

I believe it will be a good buy if you're trying to your child interested in art or if they are already interested in art, sketching and drawing et cetera.

Anyone who has shopped for art sets or drawing sets knows just how many horrible art sets are on the market. I purchased this, and the more advanced set, after reading other reviews for both my daughters. They loved it, since then I have purchased them as birthday gifts and they are always well received. I would most definitely recommend this set for anyone who is past the Crayola art set stage.

I purchased this from Amazon specifically for the mannequin. It was worth the purchase as one mannequin was costing almost the same as the set! My daughter has taken the rest of the set it is pink and that is her favourite colour, it has everything you need for drawing as a previous reviewer said, you just need a larger sketch pad. We just took out the plastic insert as the stuff kept falling out, placed a piece of velour in bottom and laid out contents on one side. We are quite happy.
