I haven't actually used all the tools in this set but love my flat soft chisels, size 2, 6, and 10. I use them in painting with acrylic, doing calligraphy with cheap acrylic paints (very neat effect--light in the middle of the letter with a cool outline), and doing calligraphy with dip calligraphy ink. I wish these tools would be sold at your average Hobby Lobby but so far can only find them online. I'm sure if I owned the other types of color shapers sold here I would use them to bring more variety to my acrylic painting. One thing I really like is that you really don't need to wash these out. They are like a brush but the paint or ink just dries on it and then you scrape it off. Clean up is a breeze in that way. When the ink or paint is still wet I just wipe it off, sometimes with water but not always.

These color shaper tools appear to be similar to the original brandname but made in a slightly different material from others I have already owned. That said they are much less expensive and function in the same way. The handfeel is a little different but definitely worth the price. The quality is good. I woule reccommend this product.

I bought these to blend oil pastels and they do a great job. My favorite is the rounded cup shaper which is becoming quickly worn down. My suggestion is to buy different sizes so you do not wear down your smaller points on large color areas.

These five color shapers are perfect for spreading masking fluid on watercolor papers to preserve the white paper for highlights, etc. I always hated ruining a good brush. These clean up so nicely. Thanks
