I love both Quinacridone Burnt Orange and Quinacridone Gold from Daniel Smith. Quinacridone Burnt Orange is very similar to Pompeii Red which is also brilliantreddish golden lusciousness.
It is a transparent, granulating, low staining color that mixed with French ultramarine blue makes a gorgeous moody sky. Mixed with sap green you get a deeper mossy color for shadows.

The Quinacridone colors are pure and bright. What a delight to use. I think it is more reflective than other brands.

Daniel Smith colors are fabulous and this one follows suit. Nice even application and tone. Transparent watercolor is difficult at times, but these colors help.
