I had been looking for paintbrushes that could handle the detail work I like to do, and these are perfect! They are short, so they fit nicely in my hand, and I can keep better control of what I'm doing. They are a little pricey and the shipping charges are outrageous. I had to think long and hard before deciding to make this purchase. I will buy these brushes again, just not from Amazon, unless they get put on the prime shipping program. The brushes themselves are excellent and highly recommended. Just don't pay Amazon's shipping, go to Michael's or Jerry's Artarama. Happy Creating!

There are great brushes for my water color set. I am not professional, just enjoying water color with my grand kids. These brushes do the trick and don't cost much.Best Deals for Royal Gold Taklon Detail 7 Piece Value Pack Brush Set - Rset-9158
I enjoy acrylic painting and this brush set is more than decent. With 7 brushes, it's also a pretty good value as they definitely don't look or feel "cheap" at all. I do like the way they're designed since they're comfortable to hold not too long and not too short, not too big and definitely not flimsy either... Even with my carpal tunnel syndrome, I could paint with these brushes for hours without having to take a break to give my hand/wrist a rest from gripping the brush while using it. The zip close package they come in is also quite handy! These brushes also maintained their shape for much longer than I had anticipated. I have purchased several brushes and sets in the past and the bristles lost their shape fairly quickly (despite cleaning them thoroughly after each use with brush cleaner). Only one of the brushes in this set began to slightly lose its condition (after I had been using it for awhile, however, and it was also obviously the brush I used most often!) But it wasn't COMPLETELY worn-out to the point I couldn't use it any longer (and it DID last quite some time and was put to a lot of use before the wearing out really became noticeable).
One thing this set could use, however, is a smaller brush. I had to buy a seperate brush for detailing and spotting since a detailer isn't included (and the smallest brush in this set has bristles that are still too thick/large for detail work or getting into those hard-to-get tiny spaces of your work). I WOULD recommend this set, but if you're going to be doing any spotting or detailing in your painting, I definitely recommend purchasing a seperate detailer brush.
