They were fine, but I ended up getting a set of plastic ones so that they would hold up better. This set is pretty light-weight cardboard.

It is possible that I just don't know how to stencil and it is possible I didn't have enough patience and applied too much paint at once, but I ended up with paint bleeding under the stencil and the stencil soaked up paint so they were really only useable one time.

Nice stencils but the plastic is thin; would like to see them thicker. I have used them on burlap which works well but concerned on other surfaces where running can occur. I'd definitely use a removable adhesive to attach them. The letters are nice, the style good and I like the "old"look.

We had originally gotten a set of these stencils at a big box store they do not carry them and we needed to replace. Glad we found these at a decent price.
