You can cut any size paper with the straight cutz blades! If you want to cut several strips say 8 of them at 1" at the same time then you will need to purchase more of the straight blades but you get 2 blades to the package and the cost is $14.95 for 2. Just snap the blades onto the Cutz accessory and it is all set to go. I could have used the Creatopia Cutz accessory to make ornaments to put on my tree but my husband helped me and we cut the 1" strips the hard way with a paper cutter which was very time consuming and we had to measure every 1" but with the Creatopia Cutz you can set the blades at 1" intervals and cut the strips all at once! I'm only using 1" as an example, you can choose your own size to cut. I have some of the other cutz blades which just blow me away! If you make cards or do scrapbooking there are so many possibilites of what you can do with the Creatopia Cutz. The Perforation and Scoring blades are a must for me as I do make my own cards. I plan to purchase all the different Cutz blades as they become available. I love the Xyron Creatopia, it is pricey when you have to buy the Cutz, Border Pattern accessories and soon the Shapez one when it becomes available. I would look for the bundle price as it should be more cost effective. It is so easy to use with endless possiblities! Uses no electricity and can be setup anyplace you need to use it. Xyron has "invented" a wonderful product to make scrapbooking and card making very fun and enjoyable to use! I'm so happy I have a Creatopia!
