I have been sewing for 40 years and have never had a machine that could do all of these things. Feel like a kid in a candy store. Thanks to a Lightening Deal, I look forward to many hours of sewing pleasure.Best Deals for Anthony Ryan Signature BX2925PRW Project Runway Limited Edition
After losing my favorite machine, I had spent hours online reading reviews on every type of machine out there in a $300-$500 price point. It seemed to me that unless it was a real dud, most reviews were mixed on all of the machines. There were no clear winners. I almost purchased the Singer-Heavy Duty, no bells and whistles machine and at the last minute, I found this machine with only 2 reviews and it was on SALE!! It sounded too good to be true. In the back of my mind, I was thinking, "I'll probably have to send it back". Guess what? It's awesome!!! It's easy to thread and wind bobbins. It has 3 speeds and the top speed is faster than my old machine. That's a plus! I played with the stitches and learned how to use the electronic options. The machine sews nice, tight, clean straight stitches. The few embroidery stitches I tried were perfect! Then I tested it on 4 layers of flannel I do a lot of applique and it breezed through. Also repaired a cotton quilted pillow sham with ease. I am so happy I changed my mind at the last minute. Oh, and the extra-wide table adapter is great! I can't wait to get busy!!Honest reviews on Anthony Ryan Signature BX2925PRW Project Runway Limited Edition
This machine has a fair number of decorative stitches and comes with extra feet that are terrific. It is the same machine as the PRW9500 minus a few feet and minus the Anthony Ryan name. It does NOT have an automatic thread cutter as it says it does. The machines with an auto thread cutter have a button (the the button for needle up and down) with a pic of scissors near the needle up/down button. The extension table is flimsy and does not sit level with the top of the machine all the way around even after adjusting the feet as much as possible, but not sure I need it anyway. The drop in autofeed bobbin is wonderful, no pulling up thread from the bobbin case, just sew and it's there. The alphabet is ok, there is no way to stretch out the letters and there is no "space" so if you want to write several words you have to put either a dash or a dot in between or stop and move your work and start a new word. The light is ok, but I need more light if sun is not also shining into the room, but that is what Ott brand lights are for! This is great for either a beginner to grow into or an experienced seamstress, however, I doubt it will hold up to hard, extensive use as it just feels less solid than my old Kenmore. But, for the price of $199 how can you go wrong. I was considering a Bernina 530 at the dealercost aroujnd $2,000 give or take. It does have some great features like all metal gears and a thread cutter, a 25yr warranty and such, but really not too much more. I figure the cost of that machine lasting until warranty is up vs a cheap machine I would have to use a cheap machine for one year per $100 cost of the cheap machine to make it worth the cost. Plus in that 25yrs of the other machine I don't get any of the updated new to sewing machine technology stuff, I'm stuck trying to get my money's worth out of an OLD machine. I for one want to try new things and not feel cheated that I paid too much for something, so if that means cheaper machines with newer stuff so be it. My old machine still works, but I got 15 yrs out of itdefinitely my money's worth, and am sick of making buttonholes in steps, I LOVE the automatic buttonhole maker!Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Anthony Ryan Signature BX2925PRW Project Runway Limited Edition
I can't wait to get home and "play" with my new sewing machine. It's the first one I have purchased, I have an older one my mom gave me a few years ago, Simplicity. I hope this machine meets my expectations.I have now used my new machine and love it. It works great with fleece, flannel and cotton. The pretty little stitches work wonderful on all the listed materials I have tried it with. It is light enough to move, but heavy enough to stay still on the table while sewing. I have not tried the wide table attachment yet, but will be doing a few large projects fairly soon, so will be able to try it then. The alpha characters are a nice size for any project I will be doing. Instead of hand embrodery I have used the fancy stitches instead, which make the finished project prettier.
The book is great.
