The bookmarks are very nice looking. The descripton is not correct, this is 14 count aida cloth and the floss comes all in a bunch. It was hard to separate the colors as some were very close. I am missing a few yards of one of the colors. The instructions are one great big sheet, so I had to write the color numbers next to the chart I was working on so that I did not have to constantly unfold and flip the paper. It would be nice if they used DMC or Anchor numbering so I could make more bookmarks after the floss is used up.

Perhaps I'm spoiled with the dimension's cross stitch kits, but I found this kit very disorganized and difficult to work with. It took me an hour and a half to separate the threads before I could start stitching one of the bookmarks.First, the thread comes in a giant bundle. It would have been nice if the thread was split up in 3 or 4 groups. It was difficul to separate when you have colors like Pale Pink, Light Pink, Pink, Light Fuschia, Fuschia, Dark Fuschia, Pale Periwinkle, Light Periwinkle, and 8 different shades of blue. Especially when there are the same number of strands in half of the colors. Additionally the kit states how many yards of thread there is, not how many strands. Each strand consists of two yards. I had the correct yardage of thread for each, and I do believe there is enough thread to make all 12 bookmarks. I also wish that there had been more than 2 thread sorters. I believe there are 37 colors (please forgive me, I could be wrong) and only 24 thread sorters. I have to double up on most of the threads.
One of my threads was split, however. The two pieces of this strand of thread was tied together so that it was the same length as the rest of the thread in the kit, instead of replacing it with a new strand of thread. This strand may not have enough thread, as the one section is maybe 6 inches long, and the other section has a knot in it that must be cut out prior to use.
As others mentioned it is a huge chart with all the bookmarks on one piece of paper. I don't mind this much, though in these cases, it would be nice to have the symbols on a separate piece of paper so I can see just the one book mark, and have the symbols separate, but that's negotiable. I can take care of that myself. The chart is also very large. I know my mother has difficulties reading charts without using a magnifying glass sometimes I believe she would have no problems reading this chart.
All in all, I would not be as frustrated with this kit, if I was not on a time constraint and trying to finish a bookmark quickly as a surprise gift. But be warned it will take you quite a bit of time to get started.
