These are fun to do both in your own fine line markers or the included color pencils. You get 4 images printed on quality board suitable for framing once done, and a package of good quality color pencils. The numbers are clearly printed on the board, as well as on an included paper instructions sheet.

Dimensions brand is the best choice in pencil art if you also want to use markers instead of pencils, as the board quality is such that marker ink, even the washable kind, work very well with it. The marker ink won't run on it like it will with other cheaply made pencil art kits found at your neighborhood craft store. I use markers because it makes the artwork 'pop', plus makes it more challenging, and I save the pencils that came with the kit for use on other crafts.

These also make great gifts for pre-teens and teens. The highly detailed images would be very difficult for younger children.

A great value! These kits provide hrs and hrs of concentrated fun...even for me, and I'm 42 :)

The picture shows a fairly detailed amount of shading with the colors. HOWEVER, the shading is achieved by BLENDING -with PENCILS. There were only 10 (yes ten) colored pencils total and a grey and black short pencil in the one I bought. this is more of a dollar tree item than the 4.79. I was disappointed.

Very disappointing. Not your traditional pencil by number. One page has the numbers, the other has the picture. Both pictures are normal paper not cardboard. Would not recommend to anyone.

These end up looking much better in person than in the pictures, and they are a lot of fun to do.
