As someone who is very picky about their pens, I can tell you these are my favorite gel pens on the market. I am not looking for a pastel pen that writes on black paper well, or a pen that always looks wet, or a pen that makes my writing appear embossed.

I just like very colorful, easy to handle for long periods, pens that write smoothly, never clog, never leak, and have easy to read final writing.

These pens say "medium" on them, but I think they have a nice thin line that is just right. The Sakura Glaze and Moonlight pens make a thicker line that can make text hard to read if you write normal size, but these pens do not.

I think these pens are equally suited for taking notes, artwork, and scrapbooking.. except that they don't show up very well on black paper.

Ink is thick and dries fast. Pens have a smooth writing action. Ink dries considerably darker than the color of the caps. Ink is not opaque. If you're looking for opaque gel pens try the Sakura Moonlight variety. I wish there was a yellow.

For someone who loves the Gelly Roll Pens this product does what it is designed to do. They are easy to use, do not dry out and they have a continous flow of ink. Sakura is a brand I recommend.

these are great pens aside from the fact that sometimes when you first start writing it either doesn't write or you get too much ink. but once the ink starts rolling and evens out, they are good pens.
