Let's be honest here. For 20 dollars you are not getting prime sable hair! but these are great! lovely little things that do the job. It is sable alright. they have a nice snap to them. which i love. I also bought a number 8 with these. They will mainly be your detail. With thin brushes like these you will be able to achieve scratch board like marks! I bought another set of brushes different brand. they were synthetic and oh how can you even compare? This is a great jump if your not willing to deal out a lot of money.

Arrived really quickly, packaged well so arrived in perfect condition. Great for use with enamel or acrylic paint, I use them for hyper detailing on modelsa task to which they seem perfectly suited.

These brushes solved a problem for me as I normally paint small watercolors. They hold an inordinate amount of water and pigment for their size (remember, these are riggers) and work well.

I purchased these because I needed an economical brush for painting on glass. The red sable is supposed to be one of the best and softest brushes that you can use, thus not leaving brush strokes on the paint. These brushes worked great for that and I am very happy that I found them. These will definitely serve all of my glass-painting needs and then some.
