The loom works for doing what you want it to do, but with no end pegs, an awkwardly placed ancor peg, and notches under the pegs of the rims, knitting on this can be difficult. The pegs come off a little too easily when not in use, but I haven't had a peg come off during knitting. The notches on the pegs make pushing the pattern down the peg extremely difficult and you have to use the tool usually used just to knit the yarn over the peg to force the yarn down rather than pressing it down with your hand.

It also makes extremely loose creations when using only one yarn, so I'd advise using two strings of yarn when using this loom.

If you're experienced, then you probably will have better luck. But as a beginner, I'm probably going to be returning this from the store I received it from.

I love my looms, you can make many different things on them. I have found how to make scarves, hats, hooded scarves, socks and mittens on my looms. You can make patchwork blankets by making squares and sewing them together (I have not tried that yet, but will once I am done making Christmas presents) I have this long set and the round set by Boye. Youtube is your friend when it comes to learning to use these looms and a lot of trial & error. I use bulky weight yarn (Lion Brand Hometown USA, as an example) or a double strand of worsted weight yarn. You don't want to wrap your yarn too tight or too loose, takes some practice, but it is easy to work with when your yarn is wrapped firm, but not so tight that you can't lift it off the pegs.

I just bought this a few hours ago from a store... And it works wonderful! I learned how to loom from youtube, watched it once and bam I know how, the pegs have a little hook kind of like a crotchet hook, but works wonderful when pulling the bottom loop onto the middle. When this happens it gets caught. Yes it's harder to push down, but I would rather have that then my project being ruined. Hope you like your as much as I like mine!

I bought this mistakenly thinking it would be something easy and simple, I thought since it was a loom it would be good for me since I have had a difficult time learning how to knit. It says easy to follow instructions so I bought it (thankfully it was only around $8 at the store). It might as well have been written in dutch for all it helped me. Even watching youtube videos is a little bit confusing to me, I wish it had way more detailed instructions, maybe even a video included. If I would have known it would be this much trouble learning how to use it, I would have never bought it. Definitely NOT for beginners. I'm not gonna give up though, hopefully I can master it sometime this year.
