This just arrived today and I used it for less than 30 minutes, and I usually crochet with no problem for hours a day. It does wear on my hands after hours usually so I bought this to try, thinking it might make it so I could go longer without taking a break. My hand started cramping up after 10 minutes, and at about the 20 minute mark the "comfort grip" had worn a blister onto my thumb. Will never order another of these. I'm glad I just got the one size to start instead of the entire set like I was planning.Going back to using my previous brand.

These Addi hooks are worth the price. I started crocheting about a year ago and bought an aluminum set with various sizes, but noticed my hand cramping after a couple of hours. These Addi hooks are big enough and comfortable enough to grip, but not as big as the softer silicone ones you can buy which seem a little too big and the yarn seems to stick to them. So when I can afford it, I go to these Addi hooks.

I was looking for a steel crochet hook in this particular size in order to be able to crochet wire jewelry. I had very specific instructions that to work with wire it must be steel. Sounded easy, but turned out not to be. Most hooks this size are aluminum or plastic. Not only is this one steel, but the handle is a comfort grip plastic. My first crochet project with wire went like a dream.
