This craft kit had everything I needed to begin ( well, except scissors ).The materials are all of good qulity.

HOWEVER, if you are new to needlecraft, as I am, the instructions are not for dummies. Take the time to look over the pages carefully and read everything BEFORE you start ! LOL !! Also, practice the stitches on scraps first.

Luckily, the reason I chose this kit is because it WAS made up of small, individual stockings. So...I am embroidering the pictures I don't really like first and if they come out a bit off I don't mind so much !

I would recommend this product to anyone as the quality of the materials is excellent and the patterns are classy ( I found most beginner crafts cheap and tacky ).

If you're experienced at cross stitch this is a great kit! It's nice to have something that you can work on in small bits ... I tend to work on cross stitch in meetings and so forth and I like only needing a small amount of material at any given time. Quality is good and the designs are very nice.

Some of the color names are a bit weird, and sorting the colors therefore took a little while. If you are new to cross stitch this may not be the place to start as the instructions are very terse. If you know what you're doing, this is plain sailing.

If you're new to cross-stich, this might not be the project to start on. But for everyone else, this is a great package. The patterns are terrific, with lots of blending of colours yes, that means one cross here and one cross there, which takes a bit longer but the result is worth it, and has the quality look in the end. So far I've made about 14 of the patterns and everyone I gave them to raved about them. They really look lovely if you package up a few together as a gift. I didn't follow the instructions to finish them with cardboard under the felt on the back. Instead I sewed the Aida fabric and the felt together, stuffed the stocking with a bit of craft stuffing, put in the loop to hang it from, and hand-stitched the top. They really make beautiful gifts.

Since I hadn't done cross stitch in some time, I was disappointed in the lack of helpful directions. You get 1 sheet of the stitch material, and 1 sheet of red felt with no inkling as to how to put them together. I was also missing 6 colors in the kit I received and have had to make do with what I have. Very disappointing.

I thought this was such a cute idea and ordered them right away. The instructions are the typical counted cross stitch and are easy to follow. The reason for the three star rating is because the instructions for putting them together doesn't make much sense and seems to cheapen them by instructing you to cut cardboard out and put it in the stocking with stuffing. I ended up sewing mine on my sewing machine to make little pillows.
