These worked great and I had no problems. I didn't need a coupler, either. I just cut off the tips of the icing bags and stuck the tips in. I don't decorate cakes much, but I used this for a Tigger cake for my toddler and it came out great.

I bought a Wilton pan that called for these tips to decorate it. I bought the tips and some disposable Wilton bags and thought I was good to go. But it turns out you need another part to join these tips to the bag. I am super amateur at cake decorating so maybe most people know this but I don't. End result--I bought some store frosting with the tips already on and my Spiderman cake turned out pretty awesome.
