If you begin to immerse yourself in the world of airbrushing however you will eventually find that you'll need other brushes and equipment to boot. (Warning, dangerously addictive hobby) But as a first time buy, this kit is tops.

This kit really comes with everything you need to get started. Good selection of paint, quality hose and multiple connections, and a great airbrush. The airbrush cleaning container and holder come in handy for cleaning and storage. My only gripes come from the compressor that cuts off after 10 to 15 minutes of continuous use, and gets extremely hot. After doing some research, i've learned that this is an issue with all small compressors so if you plan on a ton of airbrushing I suggest you buy a compressor from a hardware store. My other complaint is of the lack of instructions for everything. Cleaning the airbrush requires a little more work that I hoped. If you don't clean it well, the needle will get stuck easily. Other than those minor issues, great set. Don't get frustrated if you don't immediately paint a masterpiece. Remember to start with dots, lines, and daggers. Then move onto shading. Practice and practice.Best Deals for COMPLETE MASTER AIRBRUSH KIT-Tank Air Compressor-Paint
My husband bought this kit for me as a gift in May because he knew I've always wanted to learn to airbrush. I was so excited when I got this "complete" kit and couldn't wait to get started. Well...I couldn't start because...1. The hose that connects the airbrush to the compressor was missing. I bought a hose from a local store and it didn't fit without ordering some special adapters. TCP eventually shipped me the hose.
2. The book included is for advanced users. Not much use for me considering I'm buying a starter kit. I recommend "How to Master Airbrush painting Techniques" by Bortles How to Master Airbrush Painting Techniques (Motorbooks Workshop).
3. The paint included needs to be thinned with a special product. It is not included. I don't know wether to make a homemade thinner or not.
4. There are NO manual included with the equipment so you're on your own to put it together or troubleshoot any problems.
I still haven't started yet because of the thinner issue. That will probably tack on another week before I can really start...at least I think.
