I have tried many different drawing sets. This one is amazing! Wonderful case design, charcoals, monolits, neros, soft eraser.. You'll have to purchase your pencils seperately but it makes sense because if you draw often you'll need a wider range of pencil softness. Enjoy your drawings.

This is currently some of the best compressed charcoal in the business. Low on binders, it reminds me of charcoal before all the companies were bought up. The pencils are excellent too. However, the vine charcoal looks poorly made, with a core that shouldn't be there, almost as if it was removed from the kiln too early. I'll be seeking out jus the individual compressed charcoal sticks by Cretacolor in the future.

The flask was fine and worked as expected, the sand on the other hand was horrible, it was so coarse that I could not make any decent molds with it, I had to buy new sand (140 mesh) and it was wonderful. Seeing as the sand was the most important part (anyone can build a mold) I can't give it a great review.

I could do about three or four sheets of colored cardstock at a time with these. They were easy to position and stayed where I needed them as I was using scrap cardstock left over from the "Sizzix Movers and Shaper Magnetic Die by Tim Holtz, Carved Ornaments".

The only thing I would advise is, these really imprint on the plastic covers, so make sure you have extras if the ones you have are very well used; you wouldn't want them to crack in the midst of a project.

I ordered this Framelits 8 Die Set so I could cut perfect squares out of fabric without having to use a cutting board and rotary cutter. Since even quilting cotton fabric has more fiber than card stock, I do have to run the tray 5 or 6 times through my Sizzix machine to get the fabric cut out, but I think it is worth it. This does not take any longer than it does to first cut the fabric strip and then cut out what size of squares you need for a project. The card stock cuts perfectly after 1 run through the Sizzix machine.

This is a set of dies I use often. I would like to see more petite die sets from Spellbinders in other sets as well, but haven't found any. I especially like the way only the tips of the scallops are visible outside a circle diecut, giving the combination a more petite and delicate appearance with just a touch of color around the inner circle. This will continue to be a favorite die set of mine.

I got this at Joann's because I had the 40% off coupon which made it about the same price as the one Amazon offered and I needed it today. I have two of the hand-wind models (a KnitPick and a Royal) and I have an umbrella swift and the flat swift made by the Oregon Wood Worker.

In the hour that I've had the Boye Electric at home, I've wound off seven balls of Berroco Lustra (Aran weight, kind of slippery) and a ball of handpainted light sock yarn. It took two trial-and-error balls for me to figure out how to get nice, tightly wound balls, but after thatit has been smooth sailing and I really like this gadget.

I didn't have good luck with the umbrella swift so I put the Lustra on the flat OWW swift (which I love better than any swift I've ever used!) and it worked like a charm. I put the winder close to the flat swift and spread the hank of yarn out across the pegstook my hands away and it pulled the swift just fine and I just had to put hands on the yarn and swift every now and then if the yarn got twistednot more than once or twice per ball.

Lots easier on my hands and wrists than the manual winders and makes just-as-good-if-not-better center-pull balls.

I'm going to try to put a picture above of the seven Arans and the sock yarn to show how they turned out.

It's not perfect, it's noisy for one thing, but for what I want to use it for (occasionally winding off nine or ten hanks), it works fine.

If it "dies" tomorrow, I'll revise this review! :)

Oh, how sorry I am that I purchased this little machine. I really thought I was getting a time and work saver, but alas, it's nothing but a pain. I raise wool producing animals and either spin my own yarn or send fibers to mill. Literally, ALL of my yarn comes in skeins, so having a good ball winder is a must. Sadly, I went for saving money rather than investing in quality and ended up with something that just doesn't do the job for me.

First of all, the machine can tolerate very little tension. I use a wooden swift that has worked well with every ball winder I've ever owned over the past 15 years, and yet this winder cannot pull the yarn off of the swift. It simply stops winding and makes an ungodly scream and ratcheting noise. I have to stand and pull the yarn off the swift while it winds. Not really a time saver in that regard.

Second, because it tolerates no tension, the resulting ball is fluffy, flabby and messy. Knitting from the first ball wound off of the swift is an exercise in frustration because it tangles and knots very easily. I've since learned that I have to wind every ball twice to get it to be firm enough to use. Not really a time saver, either, I'm afraid.

Finally, the winder pooped out after about 6 months. The motor just stopped working a few days ago, which instigated this review. It was definitely not designed to be a work horse for a variety of yarns wound regularly by serious knitters.

An electric winder is a nice idea, but for someone who winds 10-20 balls a week, the hand crank version is a lot longer lasting and does a lot better job. It's been an expensive lesson and I regret the purchase.

I am writting this on my husbands account. He got this for me as a gift and i was a little worried with all the bad reviews, but i really do like it. It does what its supposed to do. Its not ment for anything more then 4oz of yarn. You might get a bit more on there but i wouldnt. I split up 7oz. into 4 balls. It serves its purpose for me and i dont regret not having it

ok i have been using this for a couple days now. Honestly, i really do love it. I dont do hanks of yarn but skiens. And i know the big complaint was that it winds the balls to loose. Well, i have found that if you put just a little bit of tension on the working yarn, it makes a nice, tight, flat ended ball! Dont put so much that you make the machine grind and squeek, but just hold the yarn between your thumb and first finger and put slight pressure on the yarn as its going. if the machine stops or grinds you put to much tension on it.

This really is a nice machine. and i hopefully will get alot of use out if it.

My dear friend knew that I was receiving a yarn swift for Christmas and purchased the Boye electric ball winder to go with it. I did not think this was going to work well, but it did a good job. I still had to babysit the yarn to make sure the ball was not wound too tight. I am not sure how long this will last. It is all or mostly plastic and it will be interesting to see how long it will hold up.

I will try to let the ball winder work faster next time to see how tightly it winds at a faster speed. Then I will amend this review.

I would recommend this if you can get it on sale.

Sewing Machine needles are things you just have to have and you hate needing one and not having one handy. This is the brand of needles that came with my brother sewing machine and one of several brands they recommend. The size is within the range of that recommended for the type of fabric I normally use. The price was excellent. Compared to other needles, these were much cheaper than anything else I found online or local. With 100, I won't need more for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time!

I've only used one so far (I hit a pin and broke the needle that came with the new machine) and it worked excellently. If I do need more, I know where to come and what to look for!

I'm very happy with this purchase, as I go through needles like crazy--I sew for a living, and use my machines daily. I can't believe I got all these needles for about $10! I've used them in my Kenmore sewing machine and my Brother serger, and so far, they perform well. They even came packaged 10 needles per sleeve, and in a little hard plastic box that can be reused for holding broken or used needles (that's what I use it as anyway). Excellent deal, I'm happy with my purchase and will buy more in the future!

I change out the needle on my ULT2001, PE-770 and 6800PRW every quarter million stitches or so, so I wanted to get a big pack. changing out the needle often helps with nesting and leads to less broken needles or machine damage. A needle is way cheaper than a new needle plate or getting service on your machine. These needles work great for 40 weight embroidery thread. If I turn up the speed on the machine (my ULT2001 will do up to 800 stitches per minute) then I use needles that are size 14 to keep from heating up the thread.

Stitching these took about a month, working at least 2-3 times/week for at least an hour each setting. The thread and aida are high quality, and the colors are bright and vibrant. The instructions for stitching and assembling the ornaments were clear and easy to follow. I appreciated being able to complete the designs in any order I chose. I cut the aida first and stitched the six designs separately, but it may have been easier to leave the aida intact and cut when all six have been stitched.

Overall a wonderful kit with six cheerful, charming designs that work well alone or as part of the set. The finished ornaments are not too big and not too small, perfect for any sized tree, or to hang throughout your home.

Note: The kit does not come with everything needed to assemble the final ornaments no fabric glue, no cardboard. It does contain the felt needed to back them.

I am a full time colorist, and own many if not most professional colored pencils, from Prisma, Caran De ache, Derwent, Faber Castell, Greta Color, Dick Blick, SoHo, Lyra, and Bruynzel(which are no longer available),I'am now a proud owner of a full set of these. Every brand pencil colors differently, some like the Prisma are soft and put down a lot of pigment, while others like a poly chrome, harder and apply color much softer. This pencil is a harder pencil, the colors go down fairly light. Yet it colors very smooth and even. The effects also very greatly depending on the paper you are working on. I find with hard pencils it is more difficult to achieve a layered effect, because the hard pencils tend to want to burnish. Though today I was coloring with this pencil, on a nice toothy, heavy weight paper, and these layered quit nicely. These lay the pigment down very even, and do not ' grab' the paper like some of lesser quality will. These are quite pricey,(thankfully mine were a gift). My experience with the Tom Bow markers, and now this pencil leads me to believe they produce a very high quality product. I would definitely recommend this product to others.

These are awesome play-doh toys! We got them for our daughter who is almost 2 (purchased when 1). She loves stamping them into the play-doh and telling us what animal or object she made. All of the cut-outs are different and are a great value for the money! Each cut-out is very sturdy and have taken lots of abuse from playdates with other kids (including older cousins)! The rolling pin is great because it rolls like a real one (we have one that does not roll as well from a different set). Our daughter learned how to roll out the play-doh and make it flat for cut-outs. Great buy!

I have done many engraving art pieces, but this one is more difficult. Mainly because the silver "print" is very light and therefore hard to see and etch the design. I would not reccommend this product. It could've been a defective product that was sold to me.
