These fabric charm squares are really nice! The colors are just as pictured, and the designs are suitable for boy or girl, I think. Especially if other fabrics are used in combination with them. The quality is first rate, of course. The weight and feel is very nice--very smooth and soft to the touch. Shipping was quick and, more importantly to me, shpping was covered by Amazon Prime. (Is there anyone we can complain to about high shipping charges???:-)

The embroidery floss for this quilt comes with all colors combined in a bundle. It took me a LONG time to sort the floss onto a labeled cardboard I had to make myself. There are lots of materials used for knitting needles: metal, resin, acrylic, wood, and bamboo being the most popular choices. Each has its own pros and cons, but for beginners, I'd definitely recommend the bamboo. The reason for this is that bamboo tends to grip the fabric a bit, allowing for time in getting the finger position right and not letting loops slide off too quickly during stitches. A lost stitch can create holes in your finished product if you don't catch them in time, and it can be frustrating for new knitters to see their stitches wriggle off and disappear from the ends of metal or plastic needles. Experienced knitters also like knitting with bamboo because the grip works well with slippery fabrics.

Takumi has an excellent reputation among bamboo needles, and the set that I received holds up that standard. Extremely light needles with a very smooth finish. The tips have a nice, gradually tapered tip that is sharp enough to easily slip under stitches but not so sharp that they cause discomfort if you push on them as I do when I slide stitches forward. I've run yarn over all of them and encountered no snags or split tips. The bag is of a thicker, canvas material which I prefer as it's a bit more rugged than soft cloth. It also includes extra pockets should you want to add some more sizes.

The only downside is the that the sizes start at 8. The more popular non-sock sizes are actually in the 6-9 category, so I would have gladly sacrified a 13 or 15 (which I'll probably never use) for the more functional sizes. However, this is my own particular preference, and there may be knitters who prefer the larger mm. Overall, a great set of starter needles that is perfect for knitting up small baby items, afghan squares, washclothes, and scarves. If looking to knit larger items like sweaters, afghans not assembled, and the like...I'd look into the circulars or longer straights as the 10 inch ones are really too short for that sort of work. Just be sure and get some info on lengths and such because different items require different cord/needle lengths. It's not all just about tip size. Also, be aware that as your skill progresses and you knit faster, you may find the bamboo provides too much grip, especially with acrylic yarns. A lot of knitters continue to knit only with bamboo, but I mostly use my metal needles now. However, I don't regret buying these as they were the perfect beginner's tool.

I was new to knitting and thought this set with 7 needle sizes would be a great buy. I was right! :)

As anyone who knits knows, we often work on more than a few projects at a time and I found myself needing to buy needles from my local yarn shop. I do try to buy local when I can so while the individual needles were more expensive than a set, I bought them anyway. I have Brittany and Palm Forest brands, just to name a few. There is such a difference between these Takumi needles. I was knitting a scarf with the Brittany's and wanted to use a larger needle to bind off with and I grabbed one of the Takumi's and it was BLATANT how much smoother the Takumi's are. I often think that you get what you pay for but these needles are just great.

The only thing that could make them better is if they had a set with the smaller sizes 1 7.

I definitely love these needles! i was just recently wanted to learn knitting after watching OhMyGOddess the movie where belldandy knitted a sweater...

i havent knitted before in my life but i decided i would try and have a go at a scarf... i went to walmart and picked up one of those cheap aluminum ones since that was all they had. they were quite long and hard to handle for a beginner like me but i still managed a little bit. After i realized that yarns and needles have to match i went and searched for the right size needle online. i found the clover takumi ones and FELL IN LOVE.

they are so easy and light weight. it doesnt feel like anything at all in your hands and the stitches dont just fall out of nowhere like the aluminum ones.

and this set is definitely a steal. 25 bucks for 7set of needles is really cheap. i bought one #7s in Michaels and they were like $4something each plus tax it was around 5 bucks...

Now im inlove and totally addicted to knitting. i would totally recommend this to anyone who wants to start knitting. its a fun and productive hobby.

I purchased this knitting needle set mainly because I wanted to have a set of inexpensive wood knitting needles in every size on hand for students. I love the case. It's well made and versatile with enough pockets for all the knitting needles and a small square pocket for accessories. The needles themselves are the same Clover bamboo needles often carried by hobby stores. I have a good variety of knitting needles including old-time metal, bamboo, birch, rosewood, plastic, high-tech polymers, nickel, and so on. As a result, I'm familiar with the differences. Clover bamboo needles have dull rounded tips so they're not great for advanced projects. They are reasonably smooth, but nowhere near as smooth as premium needles. My personal preference is for the smooth feel of birch or rosewood, and I like pointy tips when I'm working on an advanced lace project. I do, however, occasionally work simple projects on Clover bamboo needles. Since these are very inexpensive, I also often give these away to beginning students. Either way, I think this is a great kit to have on hand, especially considering the price. Our local hobby store sells Clover knitting needles for up to $10 a pair, and I've seen similar cloth cases for as much as $35.

The needles were great. Smooth and durable. The case was also great, easy to keep my needles organized with extra pockets to place extra needles. The only thing is the price. The needle sizes, as mentioned on other reviews, had an 8 as the smallest. I don't really use a lot of the larger needles, and you can find a set of clover single point needle for about 5-6 dollars at Michael's. So if you'll use all the needles it's definitely a great deal. If not, it would be cheaper just to get the needles and the case on an individual basis.

I'd never used these or even heard of them before, but I wanted to start building a supply of stamps. Rubber ones on wooden blocks are more expencive & take up more space, so when I saw this way of doing it I had to try it & I'm happy. I got a package of multiple stamps that easily attach & come off these for the cost of one wooden stamp, so I can't complain!

Too often rubber stamps -as sold in art stores or in craft sections -are simply clumsily made, clip-art representations that all have the same look and feel. The Webster's Dictionary stamps are exactly the opposite. These are actual historic engravings, complete with all the details of line execution, shading, and perspective, available to use for anyone with access to an ink pad. The images offer a wide variation for picture and size choices, and aren't just "vintage looking," but are the real thing.

At first I was a little disappointed when I saw the stamps they are not the usual stamps with the nice wooden top we all know and love. However, upon playing with a set of the stamps that magically found its way into my back pack about a week ago, I definitely changed my mind. The foamy blocks produce the same quality image when printed, but are more accessible and less intimidating than traditional stamp blocks. This is important both for children and grown ups who will use them and the images themselves are so versatile that they can be used on anything from children's craft projects to handmade wedding invitations.

I can't pick my favorite stamp I love the little snail, and the elegant giraffe and portly pumpkin and the cozy family of mushrooms. It is such a treat to have a chance to incorporate those historic engravings into my own art projects! Each stamp has a story in it, and by looking long enough they come to life. I also love looking through the book they came from and finding the stamp images hidden in the pages.

I hope more stamps get made I can imagine a set of different fish as well as one of machinery and bicycles and sail boats. They can be used as great teaching tools in lower grades as so many words and pictures are available for each letter.

The 12 sturdy pictures in this coloring book feature a series of pretty Disney princess poses, each printed on a background of glittery paper. The glitter is integrated into the paper and does not flake off. The 5 included Color Wonder marker pens interact with the paper to turn the pictures into pretty works of art. The markers apparently do not leave stains on clothing or furniture, though I didn't put them to the test. Though the recommended age range is 3-15, I believe this would most appeal to little girls up to about 7 or so. At ~$1/sheet, it's a rather steep price to pay for what is essentially a coloring book, but definitely a special occasion gift that a little girl will appreciate.

Parents are absolutely starved for activities that are self contained and mess free. For this reason, I actually stocked quite a few of these Crayola products. One of our biggest sellers were the Color Wonder series. In Color Wonder, the magic markers can only react to the provided paper. So you can create an artistic masterpiece with no worries that your child will splatter themselves, neighbors, clothes or upholstery with ink. It's an ingenious idea, to be sure, and now they've taken it to the next step. This series featuring the Disney Princesses (always an easy hit) is actually done on a special glitter paper. So you've got both coloring and glitter effects with absolutely no mess. It's a winning scenario.

This set has 12 pages to color and five different color markers. Truthfully, the designs aren't the most complicated or detailed but that's probably to be anticipated. There is only so much you can expect with this super magic technology! This may not entertain for long trips, but it is a fitting diversion for a short period of time and an easy recommendation for the budding artists in your clan. KGHarris, 10/13.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My daughter is a huge Color Wonder fan, and over the last three years, we've bought just about every Color Wonder book out there. We've tried Metallic and Glitter books several times and, unfortunately, have never been really happy with them. The older Glitter books, in particular, got those little sparkly bits all over everywhere, including on the tips of the markers, thus preventing them from working.

Anyway, I'm happy to say that Crayola seems to have completely redesigned their Glitter books, and we love this new incarnation. There's nothing to make a mess... instead of actual glitter, the pages of the book simply have a background of sparkly foil around the parts of the picture you can color. The foil effect creates a really beautiful finished look, and my daughter was so proud and pleased with her work!

The only real negative about this coloring book is its price. Not only is it more expensive to start with than the regular Color Wonder products, but it has fewer pages... just 12 instead of the usual 18 or 24. I'm not sure it's worth paying almost $1 per page, but my little artist definitely loved it!

I adore these markers. After I stumbled upon one while on a trip to France, I got this set of 12 WG's and loved them. Having the dual tip, something I always had scoffed at on Sharpie's, has actually been a wonderful addition for when I want to cover more area quickly. The fine tip is flexible, which can cause I tiny bit of trouble when doing super-fine work, but it also lets you change the line thickness by pressing harder or softer and letting it bend. Another wonderful thing about these pens is having the full range of tone. This allows for superb shading control. The only "issue" I've found is that because I use them so much, they've dried up on me, leaving very inconsistent lines. But that's more of a user problem than one with the markers themselves.

Overall, these markers are great. I couldn't recommend them more highly. If you're considering going with color, stick to the monochrome series it allows you shading capabilities that are worth much more than being able to use one green or one blue or whatever.

Ok I don't know why amazon thinks knitting needles are a "toy" but whatever. These needles are very nice. I had been using acrylic needles and hated them. The yarn does not glide easily on acrylic. But these needles are perfect! They yarn glides beautifully on them. Not too much, not too little. Just right, for me, anyway. They seem to be quite strong and will resist bending or breaking. I've stepped on the end of one (OUCH!) and it barely bent. Not really noticeable so I don't worry about it. So overall value 5/5.

As knitting needles, these are awesome. They are light weight, they are sturdy, and they are helping me learn to knit.

There are two downfalls though. The first, due to them being aluminum, the yarn does shift a lot during work. The second, I have to bitch about the price. I bought my first pair of Boye aluminum size 8 ten inch needles A WEEK ago, for a little more than 5 bucks. I loved them so much I decided I wanted a second pair, and now they're three bucks more???? In a week? WTH I'm checking Wal Mart!!!!!!
